What is the Unifying Theme of Infinite Multiverses, The Simulation Hypothesis, and God?

We should not stop striving in Science and Philosophy when progress slows and we hit seemingly intractable difficulties

Does the Universe branch into different copies whenever a particle of light zigs this way when it could’ve zagged the other way according to the laws of Quantum Mechanics (QM)? QM is the most precise and accurate theory we have that underlies the microchips that power modern society, so this is not idle speculation.

Are we all living in a computer simulation much like in The Matrix or the Holodeck in Star Trek? Our brains are indeed processing incoming sensory information and the thoughts we hold, so why wouldn’t this be true?

Is our reality Thoughts in God’s Mind? How would we even begin to answer and prove one way or the other?

Casting that ignorance in terms of what we believe we understand does not make the ignorance go away, and may hinder or stop progress altogether. We can do better, or at least we should continue to strive since that ignorance may be temporary and effective ignorance only.

I will consider why the unifying theme in the concepts of reality used in Infinite Multiverses, Computer Simulations, or Thoughts in God’s Mind are just variations of the same approach to our ignorance.
