Social media, as well as for-profit news media on both the Left and Right are incentivized to peddle doom and gloom in exchange for advertising dollars and give a false impression of the degradation and collapse of America. We're only getting better in absolute terms and also relative to the rest of the world.

Zeihan is a geooplitical strategist with some data-driven ideas about the future of America, and he believes the best American century is coming. We don't have to worry about America losing leadership as the world's Superpower, but rather the world would be worried that we don't care.

His believes we're in the midst of de-Globalization and America's retreat from world leadership marking the end of Pax Americana, for example, free trade through international waters ensured by US Naval dominance helps China and other countries grow wealthy since they only had to worry about trade rather than maritime security or national defense, even making America's previous enemy Japan one of the world's most wealthiest nations and a vibrant democracy.

As America is blessed by our geography (internal river system, super secure land and ocean borders), political system (the craziness and volatility is an asset since it means no one has complete power), wealth, and even favorable demographics (we're not aging into oblivion like many other advanced countries in Europe and Asia), and it'll be insulated by much of the turmoil in the world.

I am more Bullish on America than ever before. It's a great time to be living here.
