I suppose that all possible life or non-biological entities that exist in the world other than ourselves could potentially be lacking qualia. We assume other living people have that qualia, but there is no way to confirm either way.

The only thing we can be sure of is our own qualia, and even that may be an illusion.

Question then becomes does it matter if consciousness is an illusion for us? And what if those spexish entities could also experience that illusion?

Much of the mind uploading literature and speculation assumes so many things. Perhaps the real route in mind uploading is not an abrupt transfer, but a gradual neuron-by-neuron replacement?

Brings up more questions than answers!
